I received my Early Childhood Education Diploma from Langara College in 2002 and have been working as a Preschool Teacher since 2003. I am also certified as an Infant/Toddler Educator and a Special Needs Educator. Prior to entering the early learning field, I studied at UBC and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology.
I love teaching preschool! I love to be able to create a fun and light-hearted environment where children can grow, learn, play, discover, create, and imagine! Through a play-based approach with a variety of materials and opportunities, children will be encouraged to take ownership of their own learning, at their own pace.
I am fluent in spoken Cantonese. I love to read, cook, and experiment with indoor gardening. In my free time, I create felt stories and resources to use in the classroom, and to share with fellow Educators. I am a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, and am also an avid aquarist, loving my tropical fishes that include loaches and an 11-year-old pet pleco.
I am thrilled to join Little People’s Preschool and look forward to meeting your family very soon!

Born and raised in Turkey, I received my Bachelor of Education Teaching English in 2000 in Izmir, Turkey. I have always enjoyed spending time with children, which led me to get my Early Childhood Education Honours diploma from Humber College in Toronto. I also received my BA in Psychology at York University, Toronto.
After working for a few years in early childhood school settings, I had my own children. I have learned a lot and gained much experience when raising my two boys aged 6 and 10 years. We have been living in Kerrisdale since 2006 and both my boys have attended Little People’s Preschool for about 4 years combined. During this time, I had the opportunity to work as a parent teacher and work alongside the other amazing parents and teachers.
In my free time, I enjoy the arts such as oil painting and water colouring. I also like baking and cooking.
Little People’s Preschool has a special place for my family. We have many precious memories and I hope your children and you will have the same enjoyable experiences as we did.
